Cobb County police and the Cobb County Medical Examiner are investigating a set of human remains which were discovered in a wooded area on Monday morning.
Cobb police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton tells Patch that a surveying crew discovered the remains near 1596 County Services Parkway at 10:30 a.m. Cobb County Police Crimes Against Persons detectives and Cobb County Medical Examiner’s office personnel are processing the scene and will continue the investigation.
Chilton says that there are no signs of foul play, and adds that the body has not been identified. Chilton says that there is a homeless camp near where the body was discovered.
