I-285 Wreck Causes Logjam, Hour-Long Delays
Traffic was backed up for five miles as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.
A significant traffic accident on Interstate 285 southbound in Cobb County has closed all but one lane of the perimeter, causing lengthy delays for frustrated motorists.
The accident, near the intersection of I-285 and South Cobb Drive, involves multiple tractor-trailers and some injuries, Cobb police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
GDOT says that 3 of four left lanes on I-285 have been blocked by the accident, causing a five mile backup and delays of up to 95 minutes.
