Inaugural Children's Halloween Costume Parade Hits Smyrna Oct. 25
Prizes for best costume will be handed out in four age categories following a parade up King Street and around Village Green Circle.

Every kid wants an excuse to wear his or her Halloween costume on more than just Halloween night. Now, kids in Smyrna will have a chance to do just that.
The Smyrna Police Department is hosting the first-ever Children’s Halloween Costume Parade on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. at Smyrna First Baptist Church, the City of Smyrna’s website announces. Once the registration process is completed at approximately 9:30 a.m., the costumed youngsters will parade up King Street, around Village Green Circle, and end in the field next to the veterans’ memorial.
Once in the field, each child can enter into a ”best costume” contest, which will be judged by four Smyrna “celebrities.” A trophy will be handed out for the winners of the newborn-2, 3-6, and 7-12 age groups.
