Mixed-Use Development Planned for Oakdale Road

The Smyrna City Council will learn more about the 10,000 sq. ft. development during its Monday evening meeting.

A 1 acre tract of land near the Chattahoochee River and Interstate 285 may soon be rezoned in order to allow developers to begin work on a mixed use development featuring restaurant, retail, office, and residential space.

According to City of Smyrna, B. Terry Seymour III has filed plans to build a 10,000 sq. ft. development on the site at Oakdale Road and Freeman Parkway. The development would feature a two story building along Oakdale road with retail, general office, and medical office space, plus a 900 sq. ft. condominium, A second part of the structure, running parallel to Freeman Parkway, would feature a private spa and restaurant.

The building would occupy a 5,512 sq. ft. footprint, while the development will occupy 24,253 sq. ft. in total space. Stipulations placed on the developers by the city mandate the construction of a five foot wide sidewalk with a two foot grass buffer along Freeman Parkway.
