Nearby: Oil Spill Closes Portion of Powder Springs Road
Cleanup efforts are underway now, police said.
Crews are working to clean up a large oil spill which occurred at the intersection of Powder Springs and Cheatham Hill roads in Marietta on Monday afternoon.
Cobb police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said, “due to the conditions of the roadway, Cobb County Police Department is asking motorists to use extra caution when travelling that area.”
“I do not have information at this time as to how the oil spill occurred or who is responsible for the accident,” Chilton said.
