The City of Smyrna and the reigning Mrs Georgia Triana Arnold James recognizes January Is Cervical Health Awareness Month

The City of Smyrna and the reigning Mrs Georgia Triana Arnold James recognizes January Is Cervical Health Awareness Month. Each year, an estimated 12,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and, of those, about one-third will die as a result of the cancer. But cervical cancer is also a highly preventable and treatable cancer, thanks to improved screening and vaccination. When cervical cancer is found early, it is highly treatable and associated with long survival and good quality of life.

Wife, mother, entrepreneur, veteran, Pastor Triana Arnold-James through her Doctorate, at the heart of her ministry is the founder of The Susan Jolley Awareness Program, which brings awareness and education to all women on the impact and prevention of cervical cancer and those gynecological cancers that effects women. Classy Mrs. Georgia believes that “often times women are so busy doing for others, that we put ourselves including our health, on the back burner.” Her motto is "when we know better, we do better" and launched the “Pencil Me In” Initiative for The Susan Jolley Awareness Program.
