Pedestrian Killed in Smyrna Sunday Morning
Police do not expect to file charges against the driver.

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in Smyrna on Sunday morning, Cobb County police said.
According to spokesman Dana Pierce, the unidentified man suddenly attempted to cross Windy Hill Road east of Cobb Parkway by running north from the southern edge of the roadway at approximately 12:03 a.m. When he reached the eastbound lanes he was struck by a blue 2000 Ford Crown Victoria.
The pedestrian was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Pierce said that police do not expect charges will be filed against the driver of the Ford, DuLaurice C. Malloy of Smyrna.
