Report: Cumberland Dental Clinic Must Pay Millions to Woman Molested There

The nurse anesthetist which carried out the sexual assaults is spending the rest of his life in prison.

A dental clinic next to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre was ordered to pay $3.7 million to a woman who was sexually assaulted by one of the clinic’s nurse anesthetists in 2009, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.

According to the AJC, Goldstein, Garber & Salama was held liable for the assaults committed by Paul Patrick Serdula in the lawsuit. Serdula was convicted of 34 counts of sexual and illegal surveillance crimes in 2011 and was given a life sentence plus 25 years.

Serdula taped a cell phone under a bathroom sink in such a way that the cell phone camera could record the commode across the way. The camera recorded footage of Serdula committing sexual assaults upon 19 patients, the AJC said.
