Mayor Max Bacon reiterated recently his Election Day promise that a Smyrna town hall meeting is forthcoming, most likely in January.

“We’ll time it when I have more info, but we’ll give the people an update on these important issues out there,’’ Bacon said. “We’ll update road SPLOST, Kroger, the new school, Belmont Hills. We’ll say, ‘here’s the deal; here’s the truth.”’

Last month in talking about having a town hall, the mayor said, “I want more people involved; we want to hear from them. It’s not like we want to shut people out. I need all the help I can get as mayor…a town hall to me is to talk about the issues with the citizens and get positive feedback.’’
