Smyrna-Area Apartment Fire Displaces Residents

A fire at an Smyrna-area apartment complex forced between several people from their homes on Friday afternoon, Cobb fire officials tell Patch.

Firefighters responded to a fire on the third floor of the Wood Hollow Apartments near the intersection of Windy Hill and Powers Ferry roads at approximately 5:10 p.m. Friday, spokeswoman Dennell Boyd says. Crews had the fire under control by 5:37 p.m.

Although nobody was injured in the blaze, some 10 to 12 people were displaced by the flames, Boyd says. The Red Cross was notified of their predicaments and provided assistance.
