Smyrna residents are invited to the Village Green to partake the city’s birthday celebrations, which occur next weekend.

The city’s website reports that the party kicks off at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1 and wraps up at 10. Musical acts Wesley Cook and Banks & Shane will rock the Village Green, while food vendors will be out in force to fill the empty bellies of revelers. Younger party goers will be treated to an expansive kid’s play area.
As with any worthwhile birthday party, there’s going to be plenty of cake - McEntyre’s Bakery will be bringing a huge cake to the Village Green so that everyone can get a bite.
