Smyrna To Bring Back Recycling Program

The Recycling Center will begin offering appointments Friday, May 29 on Fridays and Saturdays in Smyrna.

SMYRNA, GA — The city of Smyrna is phasing in facility services such as recycling. The Recycling Center will begin offering appointments Friday, May 29 on Fridays and Saturdays, the city announced.

From 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. the Recycling Center will begin accepting – by reservation only - 10 vehicles an hour for recycling (last appoint slots 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.).

A reservation system link will be available later this week on its website for Environmental Services, on a website calendar listing, and on the Keep Smyrna Beautiful website and social media accounts.

The city said its working through details of how to “safely phase in facility-based services, particularly those with direct contact components.”
