Smyrna Gal Brings Stylish Consignments to Town

Then Again Consignments, Smyrna’s newest business, will celebrate its grand opening Friday and Saturday, July 29 and 30, with a sale, raffles and refreshments. 

Then Again Consignments, located at 3988 Atlanta Road in the former Karen’s Gifts location, offers stylish, high-end clothes, shoes and home décor for a fraction of the retail price. The shop offers brand names such as Talbots, Ann Taylor, St John, Marc Jacobs, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and IKEA.

To celebrate the opening, store owner Nina Sansini is offering 25 percent off dresses, capris and shorts. Shoppers will be entered in a raffle for gifts such as makeup, jewelry, chocolate, store gift certificates and other things to "make girls feel pretty," said Sansini. There will also be Southern-style summer refreshments such as sweet iced tea, cucumber sandwiches and cheese crisps.

Sansini said she couldn’t help but be a business owner.

“I grew up in a small business,” she said “My parents own a business. It’s part of my DNA and I definitely bring a lot of that experience to my store. I just like people and it shows.”

She explained her shop has “the small business warmth” that other consignment stores lack, describing them as assembly lines that get customers in and out as quickly as possible.

Sansini has been working in the consignment business as a hobby since 1999. When she decided to open a store, she knew she wanted it to be in Smyrna.

“Smyrna has had a couple of really good consignment stores and for whatever reason they just don’t stick around,” she said. “There’s a need here because the people in Smyrna are very community-oriented and they’re very passionate about supporting local business. I’m a Smyrna girl myself and I shop local. My husband and I do a lot of things in this community. We just love Smyrna and thought it was the best place to keep our business.”

Then Again Consignments will be open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
