Smyrna NASCAR Driver Prepares for Big Race

A Smyrna man is getting ready for the biggest race of his life at the Martinsville Speedway this weekend.

Kyle Fowler, 22, has raced in the Nationwide Cup before, but is making his first Sprint Cup appearance at the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500 at the short track in Virginia on Sunday. The Sprint Cup is the top competition in NASCAR.

Fowler told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the chance to race with the big boys is a dream come true, and added that he was only given the opportunity to participate in the race due to a last-minute deal during a recent hunting trip.

Look for Fowler in the No. 32 Ford car this weekend.
