Smyrna Rotary Golf Fundraiser for Kid's Literacy
Smyrna Rotary Golf Fundraiser for Kid's Literacy, Teasley Elementary School, Griffin Middle School, Rotary Club, Community Service
In recent Smyrna Rotary news, David Wine organized the third annual Golf Fundraiser for Kid’s Literacy. The event, attended by many, raised several thousand dollars for a wide variety of educational and literacy events. Smyrna Rotary is currently working on a $3,500 grant for Teasley Elementary School as a companion grant to the $4,500 grant it did last year for Griffin Middle School. Both grants are for robotics and science equipment. Other education/literacy projects include the Golden Quill, Laws of Life, the Smyrna Jail book project and scholarships for college-bound students. These are just some of more than a dozen projects done under the leadership of Rotary President Scott Auer. Other club projects reach across the state, the nation and across the world. Smyrna Rotary is always looking for others in the community who are interested in local and global community service.
