Vinings 2018 Business of the Year Finalists Announced

The Vinings Business Association (VBA) has announced five finalists for the “2018 Vinings Business or Organization of the Year” award.

The five finalists (in no particular order) are: Vinings Community Conversation Alliance, Vinings Rotary Club, The Front Porch of Vinings, Braves Development Co (for The Battery Atlanta) and WellStar (for Vinings Health Park).

In making the announcement, 2018 VBA Chairman Glenn Christian said, “We are more than happy to recognize these businesses or groups for being active members of the Vinings community and for their participation and support of many events that promote and develop Vinings as a destination to live and work. They have contributed to the overall character, charm and lifestyle of our business and residential culture and we congratulate them on their achievements.”

Each of the finalists will be invited to speak at the VBA November 6 luncheon held at the Georgian Club, 100 Galleria Pkwy, 17th Floor, Atlanta, 30339, to share some of their secrets on how they have succeeded. The featured initial speaker at the luncheon will be Sharon Mason, President and CEO of the Cobb Chamber, who will also help introduce the 5 finalists.

“We encourage all members to join us and we also invite non members, guests, Vinings residents, visitors, new businesses and interested citizens to attend as well,” said Christian. “Just go to the website, www.viningsbusiness.com and pre-register and pre pay online at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee lunch.” The overall program is held from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm and is $22 for VBA members, $27 for non-members or guests who pre-register online and $35 day of event or at the door if non registered. A buffet lunch is included. Credit/Debit cards are accepted online. Cash or checks are accepted at the door. The 2018 winner will be announced at the VBA December 4 luncheon at the Georgian Club and will be selected by the VBA Board of Directors. Previous winners were Chick-Fil-A (2006), SOHO restaurant (2009), Courtyard Atlanta Vinings Hotel (2010), Vinings Jubilee (2011), Vinings Historic Preservation Society (2012), The BrightSide News, Vinings Edition (2013), Social Vinings restaurant (2014), Walton Communities Vinings (2015), the Vinings Village Civic Club (2016), and Fidelity Bank Vinings branch (2017).
