Our first taste of summer weather — hot temps combined with a chance afternoon storms — comes this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Highs will be firmly in the 80s in Smyrna and Vinings Saturday and Sunday, with a 20-percent chance of thunderstorms by Sunday afternoon, according to the weather service.
