Whitefield Academy Celebrates 20th Year

Whitefield Academy celebrated not only a win, but also their 20th year of operation with a special treat for all at Friday night's Homecoming game vs. rival St. Francis. In the final minutes of halftime, a giant, four foot tall birthday cake prepared by McEntyre’s Bakery of Smyrna was presented in front of the fans, who sang "Happy Birthday" and cheered as sparklers lit up the cake. Pictured at the celebration are Whitefield Academy Headmaster Kevin Bracher, Ph.D. and Board of Trustees Chairman Jason Bilotti, along with 2016 Homecoming Queen Christina Nicks (in crown), and the varsity football cheerleaders. After the presentation, cake was served to all. A series of special events are planned throughout 2016-17 in honor of the 20th anniversary of the school.
