Whitefield Academy grad to parachute into football game

Recent Air Force Academy grad will deliver the game ball via parachute jump at Whitefield Academy's October 27 Homecoming football game.

Spectators at Whitefield Academy’s October 27 Homecoming game against The Walker School of Marietta will be in for a special treat, as Whitefield alumnus Everett Joiner ’13 will arrive via parachute to deliver the game ball just before the 7:30 pm kickoff.

Joiner is a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and 2017 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He is currently stationed at Maxwell-Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL as an acquisitions officer. While at the USAFA, he was selected to join the parachute team, known as The Wings of Blue. While a member of that team, he parachuted into the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Dallas Cowboys game, the Alabama vs. Arkansas game, and ESPN College Game day from the Goodyear blimp, to name a few. This Homecoming jump into WolfPack Stadium, from a Robinson R44 helicopter, will be number 700 for Joiner.
