Whitefield Academy student Kaleb Brooks earns Eagle Scout rank.

Whitefield Academy sophomore Kaleb Brooks recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of The Westminster Schools Boy Scout Troop 197. The highest rank in Boy Scouting, Eagle is attained by only 4% of Boy Scouts, after they complete a lengthy review process that includes earning at least 21 merit badges, demonstrating Scout spirit, which is an ideal attitude based upon the Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership, and completing an extensive service project.
Kaleb began his Scouting career in first grade as a Cub Scout in Pack 226 at the former Heiskell School, where he received the Arrow of Light, the highest rank in Cub Scouts. He completed his Eagle Scout project on May
14, 2016, by building paintball bunkers at Camp Westminster with the help of fellow Whitefield Academy sophomores William Weston, Dylan McLean, Jovani Simon, and Noah Dryden.
Kaleb became the first of his troop to be elected to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society. He has also attended National Youth Leadership Training and has served in several leadership roles within his troop, including den chief, chaplain's aide, and Order of the Arrow representative.
