Dog Of Snellville Crash Victim Has Been Found
Georgette Stovall remains hospitalized and has reportedly had a leg amputated after being hit by a car Thursday.

SNELLVILLE, GA -- Ali, the dog who had been missing since her owner was struck and seriously injured by a car in Snellville on Thursday, has been found, authorities say.
The dog is home recovering from minor injuries, Gwinnett County Police said Monday. It had not been known how badly Ali was injured in the crash, or whether she had survived.
Gwinnett County Police say Tiffany Hayes, 31, of Snellville was driving west on Bethany Church Road near Brannan Road on Thursday as Georgette Stovall, 51, also of Snellville, was walking her dog on the sidewalk on the opposite side of the roadway.

Hayes, in a 2009 Honda CRV with a 7-year-old boy in the backseat, traveled across the center line and onto the curb, where she struck Stovall and Ali.
Stovall was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville with what police are calling very serious injuries.

On Monday, the Gwinnett Daily Post reported that Stovall has had a leg amputated due to injuries she suffered in the wreck.
Investigators were still trying to determine what caused Hayes to swerve into opposing traffic and off the road to hit Stovall. They have said it does not appear to have been intentional.
