• Teen charged as adult in ATM rape; police say he held woman at gunpoint for an hour (wsbtv.com) — A woman was held at gunpoint for about an hour and repeatedly assaulted at a Scenic Highway ATM in Snellville, with police saying a 16-year-old is being charged as an adult. Investigators described video evidence and a quick license-plate reader hit that led to his arrest, and a judge has allowed the case to move forward without setting bond. 
• Shooting claims life of ASU student after 'prowler' call (miamiherald.com) — A 19-year-old Alabama State University student was fatally shot in Montgomery after a prowler call, and police say the juvenile suspect is from Snellville. Officers found her and the suspect with life-threatening gunshot wounds, and investigators are treating the case as domestic violence, marking the city's 40th homicide this year.
