The history of politics in America is something few people will ever consider. At its best, an open and fair debate. At its worst, potentially personal and destructive.
My job over the next 3 months is to make my case as to why you should elect me as your State Representative. I am running against a popular incumbent who loves the community just as I do. I running because I feel called to do so. In this election you will have a choice. It is this electoral tradition that sets our Country apart from all others; the ability to peacefully change the direction of “our government”.
Those of you who are active in Duluth, are likely aware of my presence in the community and can appreciate that I am a “work horse”. We have volunteered, worked side by side for the Duluth Fall Festival, where as a two time chairman, I lead the effort to obtain 501 C (3) Non-Profit status. That accomplishment has provided the organization fundraising opportunities and the ability to do many great things for Duluth. I have organized projects through work with the Rotary Club of Duluth and Duluth High School Interact. I have served on the Boards of the Aurora Theatre and The Hudgen’s Center for the Arts. My wife, Kathy, a nationally recognized artist, is also involved in the community serving on the Children’s Health Care Community Board, Duluth Fine Arts League, and Judge for Congressman Woodall’s U.S. Capitol Art Competition and Duluth Public Art Committee.

Professionally speaking, I have been a Flight Attendant for 38 years working for Delta Air Lines. It has allowed me to travel around the world and work with the traveling business community. It is also a profession that allowed me a great deal of free time to become a Broker, manage a Real Estate business- Atlanta Realty Consultants, Inc., and develop residential subdivisions like Parsons Plantation and Settlers Place in Gwinnett County. After graduating from the University of Texas I went back to school to study accounting. I have small business experience and served as treasurer for nonprofit organizations.
There are three Republicans running in our district for the House Seat and we agree on many issues. However, it concerns me that Republicans are in control of all three branches of Georgia’s Government yet government is growing while viable businesses are shrinking. Government is not guaranteed to be better by spending more. We need to reevaluate and set a new course for the future.

Elections serve an important role in our Republic. They allow you, the voters, to decide in the privacy of the voting booth, who you want to represent you. I would like to work for you. I am asking for your vote.
