Maya Moore. Minnesota. Has a nice ring, right?
The former Collins Hill High and UConn basketball star now knows her professional future will be with the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. She was the first player taken in Monday's WNBA draft, which was held at ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn.
Moore, a 6-0 forward, finished her career as UConn's all-time leading scorer (3,036 points) and led the Huskies to two NCAA titles. She is the fourth UConn player to be selected No. 1 overall by the WNBA.
