A Taste of Cuba in Suwanee

Mango's Cuban Cafe makes eating internationally easy.

For a taste of the tropical at a budget friendly price, Mango Cuban Cafe is sure to please. Nestled at the end of a strip mall off of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, a trip to Mango's is a small retreat to a Caribbean treat.

Mango's Cuban Cafe is a family-owned and family-run restaurant that strives to give a sense to family to those that dine with them. Dishes are prepared fresh and bread is baked daily. This means that only fresh meals are offered. Late comers may not get a choice of everything on the menu, as once they run out, they are out for the day. Going as early as possible, such as lunch hours, not only gets you more options but costs less as lunch portions are cheaper.

Mango's offers all the traditional Cuban foods that you might expect such as roasted pork, rice and chicken, and hand-pulled pork. Prices range from $5 and up according to whether you are having lunch or dinner.

The special is most certainly the Cuban. A Cuban is roasted pork, Swiss cheeses, mustard, pickles and is all toasted in a hot press. Variations include steak sandwiches and roasted pork sandwiches, all worth a try.

Mango's keeps limited hours, so make sure to catch the schedule before going. They are closed Sunday and Monday. The rest of the week, they are open from 11 to 2 and then again from 6 to 9. Saturday hours are from noon to 2:30 pm and then again from 6 to 9 pm.
