Another Rough Outing for Jurrjens in Gwinnett

For the third time in four starts for Gwinnett, Jair Jurrjens has been hit hard by the opposing team.

Friday, Jurrjens (3-3, 5.56 ERA) allowed six earned runs and 12 hits as Charlotte rolled to a 10-3 victory at Coolray Field. He also allowed three home runs, two by Dan Johnson.

Ernesto Mejia, who leads the G-Braves with a .323 batting average, was the offensive star for Gwinnett, going 3-for-4.

Saturday, Kris Medlen will make his first start for Gwinnett since being optioned from Atlanta. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
