The temperatures have been falling this week, but the jackpots have only been moving upward, which means lottery tickets could be a hot item this weekend.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot went unclaimed, which means Friday’s drawing will feature an even top prize. As of Thursday afternoon, it stood at an estimated $149 million.

If you miss your chance to get a ticket for Friday’s drawing, Saturday’s big jackpot game, Powerball, will have a fairly large prize as well. It stood at an estimated $130 million as of Thursday afternoon.
