Braves' Chipper Jones To Retire After 2012
Braves icon to hold a news conference soon, reports say.

Chipper Jones, the Atlanta Braves' last link with their 1995 World Series champion team, will retire after the 2012 season, media reports say.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the former National League MVP will hold a news conference later Thursday.
Jones has a .304 career batting average and 454 home runs, the latter a National League record for switch-hitters. However, he has been slowed by injuries in recent years. Only once since 2004 has he played in more than 140 games.
