Carrington Academy Delivers Food and Gifts to Local Families

Students held donation drives for The Place of Forsyth and Toys for Tots

Students from Carrington Academy in Suwanee recently delivered more than 300 food items to The Place of Forsyth and more than 160 toys to Toys for Tots. For the past month, students worked together to collect toys for local children in need and nonperishable food items to help stock The Place of Forsyth’s shelves and feed community members during the holiday season. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others.

The Place of Forsyth is a nonprofit social service organization that assists resident families with emergency basic needs in difficult times. Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
