As Chairman of the House Education Committee Brooks Coleman has been busy implementing Common Core in Georgia. He has been silent on this issue in his campaign for re-election. It is time to do your homework and make up your own mind about (CCSS) Common Core.

While Rep Coleman would like to distance himself from his role in its implementation, he has to accept responsibility for getting us to this point where as he suggests in this quote.

Also at the forum, House Education Chair Brooks Coleman, R-Duluth, said Georgia spent three years and millions of dollars putting Common Core into practice.

CCSS was never voted on prior to adoption. Do we really want decisions about the classroom, students and teachers being made at the State level? I believe in the local control of schools. Decisions need to be made by the closest elected body to the parents, teachers, and students, the local school board.
