Suwanee Teams Returning to Corky Kell Classic in 2012

Two Suwanee schools will return to the Corky Kell Classic in 2012 in the Georgia Dome, it was announced over the weekend.

North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge, both of whom made the playoffs in 2011, will open their seasons in the daylong event again, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post. The date is Aug. 25, 2012.

North Gwinnett will get a rematch with Colquitt County, which eliminated the Bulldogs from the playoffs in 2012. Peachtree Ridge will take on South Georgia power Camden County.

Also, state champion Grayson will be in the Kell event in 2012, as will Brookwood.

The 2012 Corky Kell Classic schedule:

9 a.m. -- Kell-Chattahoochee.

11:45 a.m. -- Grayson-McEachern.

2:45 p.m. -- North Gwinnett-Colquitt County.

5:45 p.m. -- Peachtree Ridge-Camden County.

8:30 p.m. -- Brookwood-Walton.
