Dillard's, a Suwanee Standout
The family-owned restaurant has a prominent location and a Southern-style menu.
If you have ever had to sit in traffic at the intersection of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Highway 23 (Buford Highway), you may have noticed a white building on the corner with a gravel drive. Established in 1998, Dillard's has been serving barbecue and other items in Suwanee since it was opened by owner Ricky Dillard.
Dillard's BBQ is cooked on site in a smokehouse behind the building. Pork, chicken, and ribs are staples on the menu. Ricky Dillard, originally from Jacksonville, Fla., and his daughters now run the restaurant. The employees are family and friends that have grown up with the family. In fact, our waitress, Acadia Cooper, is a recent graduate of Buford High School and was babysat by the owner's wife when she was younger.
Dillard's offers a typical BBQ menu, with chicken, pork and beef. They also offer collard greens, okra, mac and cheese and other Southern staples. They also offer a country-style breakfast that many diners come in for on a regular basis.

Dillard's does catering and advance orders for all their items. The catering menu contains a few more items, like BBQ chicken in whole pieces instead of pulled, and racks of ribs ready to serve.
Whether you choose to eat in or take out, Dillards is sure to treat you just like you were home. A staple on the prominent corner, which is near City Hall and Town Center Park, Dillard's is a great place to have a relaxing meal before winding down on the way home.
