You may have seen the commercials of focus groups complaining about Domino's pizza and how bland it tastes. Another commercial hunts down those who have not tried the new recipe and watches them as they take their first bite. The commercials are catchy, but is the food really better?
The taste test begins at the Domino's on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. A large with everything, yes even anchovies, and a large cheese completed the order. The pizza was ready within 15 minutes and was piping hot, as pizza should be.
The cheese on the pizza did not taste much different than I remembered from the past. Domino's does boast that it is now 100 percent real cheese, with the main cheese being mozzarella.

The sauce is much tastier. It includes herbs and red pepper flakes, which makes it much more flavorful than what diners called the old "ketchup" sauce. The red pepper flakes give it a little kick, but not enough to make it spicy for the little ones.
The best part of the new recipe? The buttery crust. For those that leave their crust on the plate, the new crust is more like a garlic butter breadstick that you cannot get enough of.

For those that are wondering if the new recipe is worth a try, Amber Johnson of Suwanee also points out, "The pizza is only $5.99 for a medium, cheaper than most fast food."
Domino's has taken a step up in the chain of pizza places vying for your business.
