Double Shooting Reported Near Gwinnett Square Apartments

Gwinnett Police are investigating a Friday night double shooting near Duluth that wounded two people.

No arrests have been made.

Police officers responded to a call of shots fired near the Gwinnett Square Apartments on Satellite Boulevard. This is an area in unincorporated Gwinnett County near Duluth.

According to a press release, an officer conducting an unrelated traffic stop heard several gunshots coming from the apartment complex.

“Responding officers located two persons, one male and one female in a vehicle at the Preston Park Apts,” Officer Jeffery Richter said in an email. “Both of the subjects had sustained gunshot wounds to the legs.”

Crime scenes were established at both apartment complexes, Richter said.

Both victims were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center; their conditions were not known. Police are withholding their identities.

No other information was released.
