ZOOMA Atlanta Half Marathon & 5K

The ZOOMA Atlanta Half Marathon and 5K debuts at Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, Georgia this Sunday, April 22 at 7:30 a.m. A record number of participants have registered for both events, with 1,039 runners and walkers confirmed today. Of this number, 98% are women. Registrations thus far represent 16 states in the U.S.

This is a new date and location for the event, and the first half marathon run exclusively at Lake Lanier Islands.  Registration for both distances, 13.1 miles and 3.1 miles, remains open online (http://zoomarun.com/atlanta/atlanta-registration/) through Saturday. The cost is $55 for 5K and $95 for Half Marathon.

ZOOMA is a women’s race series that was invented to celebrate fitness, motivation, and sisterhood. Unlike other races out there, ZOOMA registration includes complimentary training programs, refreshments all along the course, and a fantastic, spirited party at the finish line with live band and wine tasting.
