Police: Family Fight Over iPhone Purchase Leads to Battery Charge for Suwanee Man
The domestic incident occurred in front of the couple's daughter, and escalated over family matters, according to Gwinnett Police.

A Suwanee man is facing battery and cruelty to children (third degree) charges after a family dispute that began over the possible purchase of an iPhone 5, according to documents.
On July 13, Saroj Das of an Ashleigh Walk Drive address hit his wife with the back of his hand during an argument, according to Gwinnett Police documents.
His wife had a bloody nose from the incident, according to police.
The matter occurred while the couple was driving from the Mall of Georgia with their daughter in the car. It escalated when the woman began saying "offensive" things about Das' family, the police report said.
The woman said Das slapped her with the back of his hand "several times." Das told police that he defended himself when his wife slapped him during the argument.
The daughter also told police that her father slapped her mother with the back side of his hand "several times."
During the police interview, Das complained of a pain in his chest, and said that he suffers from high blood pressure. Medical units were summoned and transported Das to a hospital.
The officer then obtained warrants for domestic violence (battery) and cruelty to children against Das, because the incident occurred in front of a child.
This information was obtained from Gwinnett Police. It does not indicate a conviction. Questions should be directed to suwanee@patch.com.
