GCPS Special Needs Event Set for Saturday in Suwanee

Students with special needs and their parents can attend an event being organized for them Saturday at Gwinnett Schools' headquarters in Suwanee.

The College Fair for Students with Disabilities will be held from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the center at . During the event, students and their parents/guardians can meet with college representatives from 11:30-2. Representatives from four-year colleges, two-year colleges and technical schools will provide students and their families with information about how they can meet students’ special needs.

Also, information sessions will be offered from 12:20 – 3:00 p.m. Participants will learn about special accommodations the schools offer, what students and parents should be doing to be college ready, choosing a career path, navigating GACollege411.org, and opportunities for financial aid.
