UPDATE: Cox Goes Against Atlanta Braves in Gwinnett
Also, events for fans are planned when the Atlanta Braves visit Coolray Field on Tuesday.
Updated April 3
It won't be long -- Tuesday, in fact -- until the Atlanta Braves play their first-ever game at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.
One of the fun things about this game is that Bobby Cox, the former Atlanta Braves manager who retired after the 2010 season, will manage the Futures team of Braves minor-leaguers. And he'll be managing against some of the players that he led into the 2010 playoffs. The game starts at 7:05 p.m.

Special events for season ticket holders start at 3:30 p.m., while the general public can join in on the fun starting at 4:30 p.m., according to a Gwinnett Braves news release.
- From 3:40 to 4:20 PM, season ticket holders are invited to participate in a “High-5 Parade” with all of the Braves' active players and prospects participating on the Coolray Field warning track.
- Fans entering at 4:30 p.m. will be able to catch most of Atlanta Braves batting practice, lasting until 5:25 p.m. Afterward, the Future Stars team will take to the field for batting practice, until 6:15 p.m. Throughout both teams’ workouts, fans will be able to enjoy player interviews on the Coolray Field video board.
- From 5:30-6 p.m., a Q&A session with selected Braves players, coaches and management will take place in the Home Plate Club for fans with Home Plate Club seats. Selected season ticket holders will be able to participate in an exclusive meet and greet with Braves players, coaches and management from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Super Suite as well.
As far as the Futures Team players, three players expected to be with the Gwinnett Braves are included, the G-Braves said. Right-handers Jaye Chapman and J.J. Hoover, who logged time in a G-Braves’ uniform in 2011, are among 11 pitchers on the roster. Third-base prospect Joey Terdoslavich, the Atlanta Braves’ Minor League Player of the Year in 2011, will don a Gwinnett uniform for the first time in the game. Terdoslavich, 23, hit .286 with 20 home runs and 82 RBI in a banner year for Class-A Advanced Lynchburg last season.

Included on the Futures Team pitching staff are two of the Top 10 Braves’ prospects as ranked preseason by MLB.com. Left-hander Sean Gilmartin, the club’s first-round pick in the 2011 draft, leads the way. Right-hander J.R. Graham, ranked No. 10 following a 5-2 record and 1.72 ERA for Rookie Danville last season, will represent Class-A Advanced Lynchburg.
