Gwinnett Braves Defeat Toledo 10-5

G-Braves now within one game of first place in International League South.

Mauro Gomez hit a three-run homer in the first inning Wednesday to spark the visiting Gwinnett Braves to a 10-5 victory over Toledo. With Durham's loss, the G-Braves (31-28) are now within one game of first place in the International League South.

Jose Costanza and Brandon Hicks each went 3-for-5 for Gwinnett. Todd Redmon (4-6) was the winning pitcher.

The teams play again Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. in Toledo, Ohio. Julio Teheran (5-1) will pitch for Gwinnett.
