
The Gwinnett Braves won the second game Tuesday night to split a double-header with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (SWB) in Pennsylvania.
Gwinnett lost 4-3 in 8 innings in the opener when a wild pitch by Jaye Chapman allowed the winning run to score for SWB. The game was in extra innings; it originally was scheduled for seven innings. In the nightcap, Gwinnett's Jeff Fiorentino singled in the sixth to give the G-Braves the lead for good in a 3-2 victory.
Fiorentino was 2-for-3 in Game 1. In Game 2, Tyler Pastornicky had three hits, and Matt Young had a home run.

Gwinnett now is three games behind division-leading Durham in the International League South.
The teams meet again Wednesday (7:05 p.m.) in Scranton.
