Gwinnett Braves Squeeze Out a Win

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is the victim.

The Gwinnett Braves got just four hits Monday, but they made the most, scoring three runs in a 3-1 victory over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in Pennsylvania.

The G-Braves' Brandon Hicks had a two-run double in the third to put his team ahead for good. Matt Young had two hits for Gwinnett, but Tyler Pastornicky's 12-game hitting streak ended.

Starter Todd Redmond earned his eighth win of the season.

The G-Braves are still 2 1/2 games behind Durham in the International League South. Gwinnett and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre meet in a double-header Tuesday beginning at 5:35 p.m.
