UPDATE: Pitcher Minor Recalled by Atlanta Braves

The Gwinnett Braves defeated Charlotte, 4-0, Saturday at Coolray Field as top pitching prospect Randall Delgado had a successful AAA debut.

Sunday morning, the G-Braves announced that pitcher Mike Minor was recalled by the parent club in Atlanta. Minor has had other stints with the Atlanta Braves this season.

Delgado struck out nine and allowed no runs and three hits in six innings. The G-Braves remained 1 1/2 games behind Durham in the International League South.

Mauro Gomez hit his 19th homer for the G-Braves. Tyler Pastornicky extended his hitting streak to 11 games.

The teams play again Sunday afternoon (2:05 p.m.) at Coolray Field. Julio Teheran, another top pitching prospect, is scheduled to start for Gwinnett.

Also, Sunday is Bark In The Park day. Fans can bring their pets to the game; a special general admission section in the outfield has been set aside for those bringing dogs.
