Pitcher Erik Cordier allowed six hits and two runs in six innings Tuesday as the Gwinnett Braves beat the Louisville Bats, 9-4, in Louisville, KY. It was the G-Braves' fourth straight win.
It was Cordier's first start since being hit in the head with a line drive recently. With the win, the G-Braves pulled to within a half-game of first-place Durham in the International League South.
Infielder Wilkin Castillo was 3-for-5 with two RBI for the G-Braves.

The teams play again Wednesday night in Louisville. Former major league pitcher Dontrelle Willis will start against the G-Braves.
The G-Braves also announced that pitcher Jairo Asencio has been optioned back to Gwinnett from Atlanta.
