One run was all the Gwinnett Braves needed Monday as four pitchers combined for a shutout and a 1-0 win in Norfolk, Va.
A run-scoring single by Jordan Parraz off former major-league pitcher Dontrelle Willis in the seventh gave the G-Braves their only run. Reliever Cory Gearrin pitched the ninth to earn the win.
The G-Braves and Norfolk play again Tuesday. Thursday, the G-Braves have their home opener at Coolray Field.
