The Gwinnett Braves got two-run homers from Ruben Gotay and Wilkin Castillo in the second inning Monday and went on to beat the Columbus Clippers, 5-1, in Columbus, Ohio.
The G-Braves pulled within one game of division-leading Durham in the International League South. Gwinnett took three of four in the series from Columbus.
Yohan Flande was the winning pitcher for Gwinnett.

The G-Braves now open a road series against the Louisville Bats on Tuesday night. Erik Cordier will start for Gwinnett; he is seeing his first action since being hit in the head with a line drive recently.
