Gwinnett Schools Event Offers Assistance to Children Needing Special Services

GCPS Project Child Find event is Friday, May 9, in Suwanee.

Gwinnett County citizens who might know a child who is having difficulty with development, hearing, vision, or speech, are encouraged to participate this week in an event specifically held to help these children.

Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will host Project Child Find, an event to identify and support children with disabilities who are currently enrolled in private or home school programs in Gwinnett County.

At the event, school district experts will provide information about possible services available through the school system to students with special needs.

GCPS is required by law to locate and identify children aged from birth to 21-years-old with disabilities who are in need of special education and related services.
