Jurrjens Loses Again for Gwinnett

Former Atlanta pitcher Jair Jurrjens continues to struggle for the Gwinnett Braves. He allowed a sixth-inning grand slam to Columbus' Russ Canzier in a 4-0 Gwinnett loss Thursday at Coolray Field.

Jurrjens (3-4, 5.27 ERA) allowed four runs and seven hits over 6.2 innings, walked two and struck out three. Gwinnett has now lost 11 of 14 games.

For Gwinnett, Tyler Pastornicky extended his hitting streak to seven games by going 1-for-4.

The teams will play a double-header Friday at Coolray, starting at 5:05 p.m.
