Library To Host Program at Suwanee Music Barn

The arts event will take place in October.

Suwanee's iconic Everett Music Barn will be the site of a Gwinnett County Library program in October.

The music site, which has hosted weekly bluegrass performances since the 1970s, will host a Gwinnett Library "Fall Into The Arts' evening on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.

At this event, informal performances begin when the doors open at 7:00 pm, and the Everett Family Band performs at 8:00 pm. The event is free.

The former Everett property on Stonecypher Road in Suwanee came under new ownership in March 2011. The barn was constructed by hand on the property in the 1970s, and over the years, nationally known country and bluegrass performers have played there. The New York Times is among the media outlets that have written about the site.
