Brian McCann's fourth-inning homer put the Gwinnett Braves ahead for good Saturday as they went on to a 4-2 victory over Pawtucket at Coolray Field.
McCann, on a rehab assignment from Atlanta, went 1-for-3 and played catcher in his second game since joining Gwinnett. Pitcher Todd Redmond went nine innings for his third win of the season.

Sunday morning, the G-Braves announced that McCann has been activated by the Atlanta Braves and will be returning to the parent club. Pitcher Anthony Varvaro will be returning to Gwinnett in exchange.
Gwinnett remained two games behind Durham in the International League South. The teams play again Sunday (2:05 p.m.) at Coolray Field.
