Mistake-Prone Collins Hill Falls to MLK

Four Eagles turnovers led to four Lions touchdowns.

M.L. King turned four Collins Hill turnovers into touchdowns, including an 87-yard interception return for a score, in a 31-14 loss Friday at Hallford Stadium in DeKalb County.

The Lions improved to 2-0 with the victory. Collins Hill (1-2), which beat Roswell in its season opener, lost its second straight game.

Running back Jordan Parker was a bright spot for an Eagles offense that had only seven first downs despite 269 total yards. Parker had 25 carries for 185 yards and a touchdown, according to the team's statistician.

Quarterback Bradley Johnson completed 7-of-12 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. Receiver Nick England had three receptions for 36 yards and a TD.

Collins Hill faces North Gwinnett next week.
